Salina Complex News

Soccer field update:
Bill Burke site – the new fields are open on the west side of the dike & play is happening! Most evenings you will see KWU, high school & club teams practicing at one of the 5 open fields at Bill Burke. Now that more fields are available, the south field is closed for re-seeding, a needed maintenance project & the beginning of the rotation cycle.

Magnolia complex site– the dirt work is being completed & the irrigation system is about to be installed. We are planning to seed 5 fields by October 1st for play to begin on these fields fall, 2006. The park will also feature a playground due to the generous gift from the Salina Rotary Club. Other features such as bathrooms & shelters are to be added as funds become available.

Funds – we still need to raise $70,000 to complete our match with the City. If you would like to donate or have ideas on fundraiser, please email Paula Knox @ knox5@cox.net. Thanks to all who have donated & please keep the Salina Soccer Club in your donation plans as a way to keep our community moving forward.
